Split Second

I played Split Second a while back and just never had the time to write this comment.

Ok, so you drive this car around and you have to gain boost or 'special abilities' while to do dangerous stuff around the track. I haven't played the game that much but from what I have played you can destroy your opponents or use the environment against them. Like for example if you have enough boost or what ever its called that you need to collect to use the abilities you can call in a helicopter to destroy all the opponents or you can aim your rocket thing that destroy your opponents, but wait a second you don't even aim in this game, just a wait a bit and you will autolock on the other cars.
You do get a variety of different modes on the game not just racing, I personally haven't tried them all, but there are a few of them and as you play through the campaign you get to experience them all.

The theme of the game is a bit like Burnout, but Burnout is a much better game in my opinion. One thing that you can say with Split Second is the crashes, pretty sweet at times but again nothing special and Burnout just made it look better.

Compare the game to Blur and well...its much better, lets not rage again over Blur like last time.
So what do you get with Split Second, the one thing you do get is fake cars, I am no petrol head but there is no way these cars are real! but that's ok as the theme of the game works. I guess the important point here is, is the game fun? well yes in some ways, its fast like burnout and most of the time there are other ways that you follow to win the race which is pretty cool.

Split Second is by its own right a separate game and even though I am comparing it to the Burnout Series, I really do it no justice, its a fun game but its no way a racing simulator but sometimes that not a bad thing.

Personally the game does not appeal to me, its my thing but did I have fun while playing it...a little but it does not warrant paying the full price for the game!
